Sketchbook (by Autodesk) is a free app for desktop and mobile devices that is intuitive and easy to learn. If you are new to graphic design and completely intimidated by Photoshop, take a look at this app. Learn from a veteran High School Art Teacher who resisted technology as long as he could, and is now thoroughly hooked on it. Considering the A in STEAM is for Art, students who learn to add cool graphic designs to their projects (in any class!) will have used a more whole brain approach that taps into the Creative, Innovative part of their brain. This stuff is awesome! Please know this is a BYOD workshop and if you want, you can go ahead and get Sketchbook on your device of choice. And if you happen to have a drawing tablet or iPad with an Apple Pencil, bring it!
